With over 32 years of professional experience, I have developed a profound understanding of contract management and procurement within the field of electrified traction projects and transportation infrastructure. This extensive experience has equipped me with the expertise needed to navigate complex projects, foster strategic partnerships, and deliver results in a dynamic and challenging industry. • In my role as Contracts Manager at The National Authority for Tunnels (NAT), Egypt, I played a pivotal role in the strategic planning, execution, and oversight of electrified traction projects, which encompass metro lines, light rail transit (LRT), monorails, and high-speed trains. My responsibilities included:• Directly reporting to the Head of the Planning Department, contributing to the achievement of the organization's objectives.• Leading key functions related to the tendering and procurement process, ensuring transparency, fairness, and adherence to regulations.• Collaborating as a team member in the development and refinement of prequalification documents for NAT projects.• Actively participating in the preparation of tender documents for various Cairo Metro Projects.• Providing expertise and support in responding to contractors' queries and clarifications during the tender and bidding stage.• Contributing as a team member in negotiations with contractors, working to establish equitable contract terms that meet project goals.• Playing a key role in the drafting and revision of diverse contract agreements, guaranteeing compliance with legal standards.• Effectively liaising with international financial institutions such as The European Investment Bank (EIB), Agence Française de Développement (AFD), Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to secure essential project financing.• Representing NAT in pivotal meetings with local authorities involved in infrastructure industry.
