Springfield, Illinois Area

As User Acceptance Testing Coordinator, Magda worked closely with the Child Support program staff in Springfield, Illinois in the Child Support Interface Project. The project focused in the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for the interface between the State Integrated Eligibility System (IES) and the KIDS/Child Support System. Responsibilities included coordinating all UAT actives, helping troubleshoot issues, assisting with details needed to write comprehensive JIRA tickets to help developers fix defects according to state policy and procedures, helping with the technical analysis of how the data is coming across on the interface files and working with the Child Support development team to diagnose and troubleshoot issues. As the UAT Coordinator, Magda was also responsible for communicating defects issues to the Vendor developers and manage these resolution.

Sacramento, California Area

As a Business System Analyst, worked in the enhancements and maintenance of the CalWIN system. Using policy knowledge for CalWORKs, CalFresh, Medi-Cal, Child Care and Child Support benefits worked in several projects to implement system policy changes for CalWIN, MyBCW, BCW, ACCESS CalWIN systems and the Child Support Interfaces. As a lead analyst worked with State and County representatives to gather and document requirements, develop and execute test scripts, developed training materials and document official deliverables. Supported users during the User Acceptance Testing phase for each project and managed all reported issues. In addition, as part of production support, researched and analyzed reported issues and work with the developers to fix the issues according to State/County policy.

Information Technology Division

Managed the implementation of county- and state-mandated changes for the GEARS system. As a county employee, worked with the vendor who did the development and support for system changes. Upon the implementation system changes, developed training materials for users and provided on-site user support to assist with the challenging changes

Greater Los Angeles Area

Managed a caseload of over 180 GAIN participants, and helped Welfare recipients become self sufficient and employable. Provided and monitored supportive services, such as Child Care, School and Work Expense, and Transportation. Assisted in the implementation of new employment programs by developing training courses for new GAIN services workers. Participated in the development and roll-out of an employment matching system for LA county.

Greater Los Angeles Area

As an Eligibility Worker, evaluated and determined eligibility for Medi-Cal and Food Stamps applicants. Managed a caseload of over 100 recipients, including special Medi-Cal programs, applied Medi-Cal and Food Stamps regulations for eligibility determination.
