Together with Kim Smith, we teamed up to combine our professional backgrounds in business, marketing, CBD science and regulatory affairs to formulate, produce, and market a portfolio of CBD premium wellness products and solutions. All products are based on Swiss organic CBD and carefully curated premium ingredients. Ebb + flow prioritizes honesty, transparency, education and caring for their surroundings.

View Derma BV start up innovated a medical device for detection of skin cancer. It was created in December 2019 as a result of an EIT Digital funded project with almost 1 million euro. The second investment round and follow up of clinical trials was cancelled due to Covid priorities in hospitals and changing priorities in funding.

Dermal Choices operated in the space of healthcare and beauty, focussed on skin's health and wellbeing. In 2018 created a consortium and applied for an EIT Digital grant (50%) for a 1 million Euro project. As project lead, I worked with Nobleo (NL), Engineering Ingengeria Informatica (Italy) and UPMCI hospital chain (Italy) to design and build a medical device for the detection of skin cancer, supported by an AI algorithm. The device was clinically validated by UPMCI. As a result of the project View Derma B.V. was founded in December 2019, as part of Dermal Choices Holding.In 2015-2017 co-created with Global Avon Cosmetics a consumer engagement platform for cosmetics, based on the concept developed previously with Healthy Choices.

I developed a concept for a platform that allows users to create a profile of skin types, substances and preferences - matched to cosmetics. The platform also allowed for peer to peer exchanges of experiences with cosmetics. This concept formed the basis for Dermal Choices and my contract with Avon Cosmetics.

Converted global marketing strategies into communication strategies and integrated campaigns in Europe & Asia for the launch of AlluraClarity x-ray system with ClarityIQ technology and other new product introductions. Collaborated with senior product managers, marketing directors and international agencies to execute the online and off-line integrated medical communication campaigns.Managed the team varying from 9 to 4 marketing communication managers and/or program managers. Re-organized the team of two levels into one level of marketing communication managers that used external agencies for project management support when needed, making the team this way more efficient and saving on FTE costs.

Responsible for developing and rapidly expanding the sales of publishing solutions within the challenging portfolios of Urology and Men’s Health in the Elsevier Pharma Solutions department. Also, growing the business in other portfolios such as neurology, psychiatry, oncology, orthopedics, biomechanics, dentistry, and emergency medicine. Responsible for customer relationship management with the emphasis on business development, contract negotiations, delivery and marketing Elsevier’s publishing solutions. Solutions included publication of journal supplements, producing abstract services, scientific posters, webcasts, content management systems and online portals.Partners and customers included global pharmaceutical companies, Key Opinion Leaders, European Societies, members of the scientific editorial board of the related journals, Professional Congress Organisers, Hospitals and Medical Communication Agencies.

Main responsibilities included: project management and supporting Publishing Editor and the Business Development Manager.
