Waterglider LLC is a family owned importing, distribution, and manufacturing company out of Spokane Valley, Washington. Employees are tasked with manufacturing, packaging, and other cooperative warehouse needs. I have my food safety certification through my work in their organic food and herb packaging facilities as well as their organic cold pressed oil line. Waterglider also centers refugees in their hiring process and supports the refugee community directly through their brand Refugee Bath Company. Working at Waterglider has connected me with many refugee families in the greater Spokane area, giving me invaluable relationships as well as a work environment where cooperation and language learning is prioritized.

The Mesier Homestead is a small museum operated out of a historic home in Wappinger Falls. My interning experience has encompassed many different archaeological aspects. I was expected to maintain the museum database through stone tool identification, labeling, and sorting. I am now tasked with creating and curating an exhibit on archaeology and pre-contact Native America in the Hudson Valley region as well as colonialism and its impact on Native Agency and land ownership. Creating a working relationship with Native Tribes within the Hudson Valley region is the ultimate goal in this project.

Kizuri is a small fair trade gift store owned and operated out of Spokane, Washington. Employees are tasked with opening and closing, customer service, understanding the products, their artisans, and the impact the fair trade relationships have on the communities that they serve, as well as general store maintenance and management. Kizuri has a close working relationship with many local social justice non-profits and has a prominent connection to the people of the Spokane community.
