About Magello Rainer Fenis

I recently completed an MA in Political Science with a major in Comparative Politics at Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia, funded by the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. Prior to this, I graduated with a BA in Political Science from the University of Nueva Caceres in the Philippines on a full scholarship.My research interest includes: revolutionary movements, authoritarianism, postcolonial history, Philippines and Indonesia politics and society.I have been a lecturer at National Teachers College – Manila from August 2019 to February 2023 teaching courses on Philippine History, The Contemporary World and Critical Thinking & Information Literacy. I received a consistent 'Very Satisfactory' rating in student evaluations throughout my employment.In addition to my academic commitments, I am a researcher and an active member of civil society organizations in the Philippines, working for youth rights and empowerment. I also write and discuss relevant current socio-political issues on Southeast Asia.
