AMS wants to expand their presence in Africa by providing a web-based LOB system for the Distributors in each country to manage their Dealer network (ranging in numbers from 10 to 30 dealers per country). This solution is completely cloud native running in Microsoft Azure. The front end is written in Blazor, the API layer is Json REST services, the database is on Azure SQL Server, and files are stored in BLOB storage. We also use Function apps to integrate to Distributors ERPs (viz: SAP, INCADEA and Autoline).

This purpose of this project was to upgrade the Distributor Portal (originally written by MultiTer) from Silverlight to ASP.Net MVC. The Distributor Portal is web-based LOB application that is used for Spare Parts sales and Logistics into Africa. It is currently used by approximately 30 countries and is used to manage Ordering, Invoicing and Logistics for the Distributor network. The solution uses ASP.Net MVC (.net framework 4.7.2) as the UI, and Rest APIs (in C#) for the service layer. The integration layer is written in Biztalk and connects AMS to their B2B partners (Freight forwarders, Warehouse management, etc) and their SAP ERP system.
