Led a QA team of 10 members spread across 3 modules, in running automated regression/ smoke tests and Change Request testing. Created test plan,Designed automated test cases using QTP and reviewed the test case designs. Managed deployment of new builds in the smoke test environments. Developed metrics to test and monitor applications, ensuring consistent improvement. Designed and Implemented a web based 'Knowledge Base' to prevent loss of skills due to personnel attrition. The Knowledge base mitigated the risk when experienced personnel left the team. Designed automated regression test cases with QTP, using linear scripting for a client server application (HMM, McKesson). Performed smoke tests on new builds delivered. Maintained the regression test suite and repaired tests as needed. Some of the daily activities included Requirement Analysis, designing manual test cases on Quality Centre (ALM), defect tracking in ‘StarTeam’ . Used grey box testing techniques to test HL7 transactions between clinical applications. Played a pivotal role in testing ‘Computerized Physician Order Entry ‘(CPOE) at offshore for the first time.
