I helped to develop staff and pupil mental health & well-being initiatives throughout the pandemic. I also worked with colleagues to reach the Gold rights respecting school award. Currently working at Seashell in Manchester, teaching KS3 pupils with additional needs individual curriculums. I previously taught 4 POST-16 pupils and encouraged them to explore and take part in various life skills and work experience opportunities. In 2022-2023 I was the Science and RE curriculum lead within Seashell Royal School Manchester and was responsible for creating and updating curriculum documents and planning full school theme days. I am currently lead of E-safety and ICT and working on developing and adapting the curriculum in school to suit our diverse learners. I manage a class team of 4 TAs and support students throughout their week to achieve educational and personal goals. I am also currently studying at Birmingham University to complete my Masters in Autism (Inclusion). At Seashell, our team is dedicated to tailoring education for pupils with diverse needs, ensuring their personal and academic growth. As the lead for E-safety and ICT (digital learning), I am at the forefront of creating a safe and inclusive digital learning environment, reflecting my commitment to fostering holistic student development. Currently, I'm pursuing a Master's in Autism (Inclusion) at the University of Birmingham, integrating cutting-edge research and educational strategies into our classroom practices.I’ve contributed to the development of mental health and well-being initiatives in current and previous schools, and I've been recognized as a Mental Health First Aider by MHFA England. My role at Seashell involves leading a class team of 4 TAs, a testament to my strengths in leadership and collaborative teamwork. Through my support, the development of staff wellbeing initiatives within Seashell trust have been implemented to boost moral, improve staff retention and empower staff within the workplace. With a background in psychology and a PGCE in Primary with SEN, I bring a unique blend of expertise to support our learners in achieving their full potential, and empowering the workforce.
