Some people have a clear plan for their working lives. Not me. I have grazed my way through a number of 'careers' from organising study tours to this country for students, teachers and lecturers to training and working in vocational guidance; from being an ordained Methodist Minister in the Methodist Diaconal Order to my current life as a retired free lance writer, storyteller and community volunteer. The link between all these is my passion for the natural world, a fascination with people, the wish to help others make the most of themselves and their lives and a love of words. I am an expert in absolutely nothing at all but remain determined to go on learning. I am now in a completely new phase of my life where in many respects I am starting afresh. We are in a new place, Leominster, since September 2013; a little town filled with echoes of a fascinating history and welcoming friendly people. A place you can get involved with. I have resigned from the Christian ministry, knowing that my own thinking has moved on and taken me to pastures new. I am exploring new avenues for learning and taking up again old fascinations with language, history and stories. I am an outdoor girl, who cannot get used to the fact that, at long last, I am on the edge of rolling countryside, where buzzards and kites sail overhead and the remembered hills really are blue sometimes.
