Maggie's goal is to work with people and organizations that really mean it when they claim to want to be more innovative, and more collaborative about how they innovate. She has the tools to help them figure out how. She designs and facilitates interactive meetings and workshops that have to do with creativity, creative problem solving, leadership and innovation. She's the founder of Inclusive Innovation, bringing her facilitation tool-kit to address challenges at the intersection of science and economic development and sustainability. She's built a team of regional facilitators based in Africa, Asia and Latin America to run meetings and workshops using creative and interactive techniques to innovate and produce actionable solutions to complex challenges, like those embedded in the Sustainable Development Goals. She's tired of the "podium innovation" that exists around these goals: she really wants to hack the SDGS to get concrete results.Maggie is also one of the original members of the facilitation team at Knowinnovation, a consultancy specializing in running multidisciplinary workshops and events, working with science funders in the US and UK to accelerate scientific innovation. Writing is a favorite creative activity, from informal journaling and letter writing to preparing researched mega-reports for clients. When she can, Maggie slips off to her writing studio to work on her manuscript. Maggie started her career in the broadcast media: working in journalism, promotion, marketing and management.

Founder And Lead FacilitatorInclusive Innovation Sep 2015 - PresentBarcelona, SpainInclusive Innovation fosters creative collaboration for sustainable development. We deliver workshops focused on leadership for economic inclusion, access to education, health services, smart agriculture, climate action, social entrepreneurship — these and other topics aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal mission of bringing ‘peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future’. We stir the pot with interactive workshop designs that provoke people’s thinking so they can create meaningful solutions to real problems and feel emboldened to make them happen. And we always give people a toolkit, exposing them to new and different ways of working with each other, which often changes how they work, moving forward. We are an international team of facilitators from six continents and 28 countries (and 25 languages) using a robust creative toolkit to design and deliver meetings, workshops, Next Gen Leader Labs and Impact Labs that are highly interactive and engaging, and involve finding smart, novel, often unexpected ways to collaborate and solve complex and immoveable challenges.
