On a small farm in southwest Iowa is where I was born and raised. For many generations my family has planted crops in the spring to harvest them every fall for the rest of the world. For us it isn't just a way to make money, it is a passion that gets stronger every year.Growing up as a farm kid, I have learned many important aspects. The time, hard work, and long hours put into this lifestyle aren't because we have a duty to feed the world but because we love it. I've gotten to witness the fields being planted and I have watched them grow all summer for them to be harvested in the fall. When I graduated high school, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I wanted something that would keep me learning and innovating. I started with my general education classes to hopefully figure out what I wanted to do. Then it occurred to me that I should go ahead and continue my education in a field that I can always have a passion about. So, I majored in Agriculture Business. This industry is more than just a career to me.Being on the farm has incorporated a lot of my passion for the agriculture industry, I was also involved in one of my county's 4-H groups. Here I learned about the different parts of agriculture as well such as the different areas of livestock and clothing aspects too. 4-H allowed me to interact with youth who had the same passion as I did and to help teach others about it too.All of my experiences are what has led me to continue building my passion for this industry. I am choosing the right path that best suits me and I love it. I will be graduating in May 2019 with a Bachelor's of Agricultural Business. After graduation it is my goal to find a career that best fits me and my dedication to serve the Agriculture industry and all it has to offer.Personality Color - Gold- Organized- Sensible- Caring-Punctual
