In this role I was directly responsible for recruiting and training over 10 members of staff. I managed a team of 12 over a 7 day, 24 hour rota. A key part of that was overseeing their wellbeing, day to day performance management, rotas and adhering to disciplinary procedures.I managed and worked with projects funded by central and local government in an effort to make homelessness rare, brief and non-recurring.I took the lead on coordinating a multi-agency collaborative partnership supporting rough sleepers in Birmingham. This was done through a multitude of different avenues; I hosted weekly tasking meetings with partner agencies where the current caseload was discussed and their needs were assessed. I monitored a daily report distributed throughout these same teams, attend MAMs and particpated in meetings with local enforcement. I also gave presentations to the media, councillors and border members. I organised the monthly counts, collaborative Outreach efforts and, using Excel, collated and distributed the monthly data required by the council.

In this role, I supported clients rough sleeping across Birmingham, using trauma based practice. My work was rooted in providing consistent, reliable support for a demographic often reluctant to engage.I completed referrals to a range of services, from accommodation to drugs and alcohol services. I have also been part of safeguarding referrals, escalating concerns to the local authority, and partook in the resulting multi-agency meetings.I utilised partnership working to ensure all of the service user's needs were addressed, producing handovers that were distributed across the city. I linked in with local enforcement and used intelligence from Streetlink to locate and engage new clients, working to ensure they spent minimal to no time rough sleeping.I also facilitated multiple, simultaneous referrals during SWEP activation, participated in the annual count and coordinated training opportunities.

As a Geography Ambassador my role was to represent and promote the Geography Department at Sheffield University.
