This summer I have had the opportunity to serve as office assistant at Theraplay Associates in Dallas, TX. I help prepare various materials for summer camps along with answering any phone calls and messages that the office receives.I have also gotten the opportunity to shadow and learn about the various evaluations done by the occupational therapists that include evaluations for fine, gross, and visual motor skills.

• Worked as a summer camp assistant at a pediatric occupational therapy clinic• Helped children with handwriting and how to navigate a classroom atmosphere• Learned techniques used in occupational therapy to help children in a classroom environment

• Worked the register, helped stock the store, and helped answer customers questions• Worked several weekends throughout the school year/ 4-8 hours a shift• Worked several weekdays and weekends throughout the summer/ 4-8 hours a shift

• Shadowed Speech, Occupational, and Physical therapists during a 60-hour unpaid internship (Summer 2021)• Learned about sensory processing issues and motor delays• Witnessed several different techniques used in speech, occupational, and physical therapy sessions
