The GARDENS is a community organization operating in South Etobicoke in partnership with Humber College. The project aims to address food insecurity by connecting with South Etobicoke community partners who have unused land. On that land, we grow local organic food and donate it to community partners, food banks, and those who are facing food insecurity.Responsibilities include: -Planting and maintaining pod sites-Connecting with volunteers- Maintaining existing community partner relationships and addressing concerns-Creating online media content for Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter-Planning and connecting with partners/community members for online interviews and video learning library needs-Updating Covid-19 sign in and sign out sheets-Scheduling online meetings and project maintenance -Updating online databases with garden plot charts and media descriptions- Maintaining effective communication with education coordinator for online media platforms
