I'm earning an associate's degree in Nursing at Hocking College. I am setting my sights on becoming a Registered Nurse in the Central Ohio area. I've always enjoyed caring for people, especially children. I'm interested in pediatrics, neonatal, or even becoming a maternity nurse. I have obtained my State Tested Nurse Aid, Patient Care Technician, and I am certified in First Aid, EKG's, and phlebotomy. I knew I wanted to become a nurse involving kids/infants when I started to babysit as a job. Seeing the kids happy because I was caring for them brought me so much joy, and I knew from then on, I wanted to care for young children as a profession.My experiences that led me to Nursing involving young children have been babysitting. I've babysat many different kids throughout my life, their ages ranging from five years old, to four months old. While babysitting, I had the opportunity to take care of young children when they are sick, or not feeling well. Seeing the kids start to feel better after caring for them made me realize that is what I want to do with my life. I want to be able to help as many young children as I can in my life.
