As well serves as my working Vermont art studio for paintings, mural design and other creative projects.Wingspan partners with youth organizations, businesses, community organizations and private individuals to use the power of the arts for transformation. Spread Your Wings! brings the arts, nature and academics together to boost potential for opportunity to youth facing barriers. Providing enriching vacation learning camps, when school is out, at-risk youth acquire valuable academic, creative and social skills to empower themselves and thrive. Led grassroots effort to transform private open space facing development into public space to be used as community garden and neighborhood pocket park for diverse, densely built-up neighborhood in need of socio-economic catalysts. The Myrtle St Avant Garden is a community resource utilized by adults and youth for gardening, recreation, site-based education and serves as a neighborhood anchor. Owned by the City of Burlington, managed by Burlington Parks & Recreation and run with help of many volunteers.~Strategic Planning/Land Tenure/Fundraising/Budgeting/Sustainable Space Design: Worked closely with community, governmental and industry leaders/stake holders such as Trust for Public Land, Vermont Land Trust, Burlington Parks & Recreation, The Mayor's Office, Redstone Development, Burlington Permaculture and Gardener's Supply.~Fundraising: Co-wrote and received $70,000 Conservation Legacy Program grant for the city to purchase the space, CDBC (Community Development Block Grant) grant for permanent improvements subsequently.~Project Design & Implementation: Led the project through a complex political process, gathered documents, conducted land research, wrote and presented project overview to neighborhood groups, city officials and the Burlington City Council for a vote to purchase the land.~Project Coordination: Coordinated and oversaw permanent improvements with guidance of Burlington Permaculture and Burlington Parks & Recreation~Currently lead place-based educational classes combining the arts and nature/gardening with The Sustainability Academy Burlington Kids After School program and community groups. ~Serve as Co-Site Coordinator & Outreach Director, managing gardeners, providing leadership opportunities and community building events/classes.~Community youth were/are engaged for design charettes and on-going garden growing and projects to instill sense of responsibility and worth in themselves and their neighborhood.

Own and operate a multi-faceted studio offering classes, camps and beautiful fine art, mural creations and myriad decorative painting options. High School International Baccalaureate French program teacher for 5 distinct classes/4 sections. An exciting and challenging role as a 1/2 year teacher covering for the full time teacher in Morocco! Learned new software, school protocols and culture quickly, the IB standards and learning benchmarks across 4 levels, participated in school activities, held parent-teacher conferences, differentiated instruction, created/led arts-integrated curricula learning activities, provided robust hands-on speaking, writing and reading practice and fostered opportunities to engage with authentic francophone sources to students. Supported learners academically, socially and connected them with school support services when/as needed. Communicated often with World Language department members, mentor teacher and supervisor. Arranged for a guest speaker and took students on field trip. Encouraged student agency, leaning into learning and embracing the challenges of world language learning.

French teacher in Middle School teaching ACTFL / VT Learning Standards aligned curriculum. Designed and led interactive and engaging classes for grades 7th & 8th in the UA Program - United Arts, of Hunt Middle School. Worked closely with Middle School World Language cohort to design student-centered district wide Middle Level World Language Acquisition Program. Offered integrated-arts learning activities including creation of a hallway mural and received grant for end of year French/Art project for all French learners. Participated in school activities, team meetings, cohort monthly meetings and with specialists to best support students.

Designed and led high school level classes in a Department of Corrections High School. Worked with youth who had experienced severe trauma. Utilized trauma informed strategies, blended SEL into curriculum, instituted field trips when permitted, reached hard to reach students.Curricular activities focused on art, French, life skills and art history. Movement based lessons and UDL practices for students with multiple intelligences to show their knowledge.

At the home office in WDC, helped manage new business projects, researched legislation, managed databases and interacted with diverse professionals from around the globe.In Cameroon, served as New Business and Natural Resources Consultant, interacting with international institutions, local leaders and residents. Spearheaded a community development project using Rapid Rural Appraisal Methodology, amplified Chemonics' expertise in high level meetings with verbal, written, visual communications, communicated complex information in clear, compelling, and accessible ways, in English and French.

Based in Yaounde, worked with local NGOs, governmental agencies and residents as a facilitator, project designer. Also served as New Business Consultant. Employed RRA methodology to work in a structured and flexible system to leverage knowledge and support rural communities to articulate and develop a plan to meet their village needs.

Designed curriculum and led High School level French classes at a private school. Engaged students with pertinent speakers, cultural references and participated in school wide events, meetings.

Interacted with African professionals from diverse fields, researched and wrote program materials, managed and developed program itineraries across the country for visitors.
