- Serve as primary advocate and liaison at the federal, state, regional, and local levels of government through coalition work, advocacy and education, and direct lobbying- Support community organizers through public policy development and legislative campaign action plans- Derive potential policy solutions and generate political will among decision makers- Train Mid-City CAN staff and City Heights community members on policy priorities for legislative visits and presentations- Develop voter engagement strategy to advance community organizing campaigns and build power, including voter registration and implementing “Get Out the Vote” best practices

- Created, prepared, and facilitated health access meetings among local and statewide healthcare stakeholders in order to ensure better network adequacy and access to healthcare for all San Diego residents- Developed a two-year strategic plan and managed six part-time outreach staff and seven organizational partners to ensure healthcare enrollment for City Heights residents- Planned, facilitated, and created an ad-hoc committee with the County of San Diego’s Health and Human Services to work towards achieving in-person interpretation within City Heights clinics and hospitals for refugee populations- Researched and studied the Cuban public healthcare system in Cuba in order to implement best practices learned to the county of San Diego, especially for school-based clinics- Researched statewide healthcare policies and lobbied for universal access to healthcare with statewide coalitions

- Provided classroom and field based science education to over 1,200 underserved elementary students - Managed six high school interns in community wide science education presentations about renewable energy- Developed curriculum, program logistics and conducted programmatic enhancements and evaluation - Built and secured partnerships with local science leaders and community members to enhance program curriculum- Program results of support: students participating in school-based initiative program had a 12% increase in standardized science test scores; students in after school initiative program attend 4-year universities at rate of 8/10

- Advised public, senate, and congressional leaders with legislative strategies to address climate issues- Scheduled over 100 senate and congressional meetings for Citizens Climate Lobby annual conference- Attended seven senate and congressional meetings at annual conference in Washington D.C. to lobby for H.R. 3242- Developed two new chapters in Oregon to expand partnership network through relationship stewardship and outreach

- Trained, supervised, coached, and managed daily motivational activities for employees- Called alumni to garner financial support and maintained records of donations received for UC San Diego- Single-handedly raised $25,400 for UC San Diego’s top student fundraiser
