I was a nanny for this family for a total of 2,000+ hours since the end of my Internship this past Spring in Nashville. Kids were (7, 2, 1). I reinforced parental guidance and daily routines to normalize the environment. I provided support and coping mechanisms for everyday life, promoted play, directed activities, and maintained child hygiene and routine. I met with the mother every week to discuss medical appointments for the kids, meetings, and functions that I assisted with. I tried to implement being a CCLS into everything I did with the children and their daily routines.

Maintained a 645-hour internship and gained experiences all over the hospital. I advocated for children and families during their time at Wolfson. I used age-appropriate assessments in order to actively care for the patient depending on their developmental and emotion needs. I continued to give my patients new and creative ways to express themselves, either through play, preparation, medical education, and/or therapeutic support. I learned how to prioritize a given day and provide as much as I could to my patients, all while learning to keep professional boundaries to keep myself at it’s best. Most rewarding internship ever.
