About Maggie Wang

As a PhD candidate in biomedical engineering at UT Southwestern Medical Center, I am dedicated to developing innovative ultra-pH-sensitive nanotechnology for cancer immunotherapy. Under the mentorship of Dr. Jinming Gao, I have filed two patents on biodegradable STING-activating nanoparticle compositions and STING-cDC1 signature as a prognostic biomarker for cancer. I am passionate about bridging the gap between academia and the biotech industry, as the former President and current board advisor of the Biotechnology Club at UT Southwestern. I have established strategic partnerships and sponsorships, and overseen all operations and programmings, including speaker seminar series, industry mentorship, and industry fellowship. I aim to empower aspiring scientists and trainees to explore the full spectrum of opportunities within biotech.
