Teach a first-year seminar course targeted at first-year and transfer (with less than 30 credits) students within the College of Natural and Health Sciences (CNHS). The goal is to provide students with helpful resources and knowledge to become successful students at UW-Parkside. Some topics covered in the course are academic policies, campus resources, diversity and inclusion, career exploration, educational planning, study skills, time management, professionalism, and critical thinking.

- Serve as a main point of contact for students and provide information about educational options and academic requirements; assist with identifying and assessing interests, skills, and values to match appropriate field of study/career options; assist with the transition to the academic environment; and refer students to appropriate institutional resources- Perform career advising functions which include engaging students in the process of academic and career exploration by employing critical elements of self-assessment, career research, goal setting, job search strategies, career progression, and reflection. Assist students with resumes, cover letters, and interview preparation as well as the graduate school application process- Participate in the campus-wide advising community providing input to leadership regarding the development of advising, recruitment, career, and co-curricular programs- Facilitate academic success workshops – these may include FYE and career-related thematic workshops, class presentations, collaborative programming, and special events to be offered throughout the academic year

- Supported students, staff, and faculty with billing inquires, payments, student accounts, and financial aid related questions - Reconciled payments on student accounts by processing cash, checks, or credit card payments - Developed and maintained student account procedure manuals to streamline processes and systems - Collaborated with various departments to resolve account issues, improve operations, and provide excellent customer service

- Strategically guided a 115-person student organization with a $66,000 annual budget - Corresponded monthly with the University President and Dean of Students to act as a liaison for the Student Body and discuss the current state of the university and upcoming Student Congress legislation to better the student experience and advance the mission of the university. - Facilitated weekly executive cabinet meetings in addition to monthly Asbury Student Congress meetings- Served on the Academic Policies and Curriculum Committee and Cornerstone Council to represent the student body voice

- Provided 1:1 academic advising for adult learners, students on academic probation, and at-risk students - Served as a teaching assistant for University Studies Academic Workshop courses that on average 40 students attended - Evaluated and recorded data to track student progress and identify areas of improvement - Advised students on class schedules, time-management, study skills, learning styles, test strategies, and other skill building activities

- Led a 8-week mission trip in the summers of 2018 to Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina where we helped with Vacation Bible School, helped in the food pantries and other social services, and lead community outreach events- Led a 8-week mission trip in the summer of 2019 to South Korea where we lead English camps, served in senior care centers, and participated in weekly church programs
