Units served include: Adolescent Psychiatric, Adult Mood Disorders, Acute Psychiatric Disorders, Medical-Geriatric, and Comprehensive Addictions Treatment Services units.

Full time recreation therapist in Senior Services for Fairfax County senior centers. Conduct participants assessments of social and recreation history, work with interdisciplinary team to coordinate and develop wellness plans for each participant, and coordinate and implement a variety of inclusive activities with therapeutic purpose for seniors age 55+. Assist participants in working towards wellness goals, observe and document participant case status, progress towards goals, and general behavior. Modify and adapt programs and therapeutic techniques to help participants progress towards goals and wellness plan including communication with participants and family members on progress towards goals.

I manage the instagram and facebook page for Cedar Springs Christian Books. I take and edit pictures of product, create the caption, and schedule the post on an outside platform. I work with the companies that we purchase books and other products from to strategize the best plan of action for effective marketing. I create original flyers and graphics on Canva and other marketing platforms.

Full-time recreational therapy internship at Sertoma of Knoxville. Working alongside other facilitators to provide individuals with disabilities the opportunity to increase their autonomy, relatedness, and competence. Increasing overall holistic health and wellness across the lifespan of individuals by providing purposeful opportunities to be physically active, nurturing spiritual and mental health, and provide educational opportunities to benefit a health lot mind, body, and spirit. Creating opportunity for social and community integration, ultimately increasing personal independence.

Assisting in creating, organizing, and facilitating activities that benefit the residents of Morning Pointe Assisted Living. Daily activities serve to stimulate and enhance cognitive, emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being while additionally improving quality of life.

I provide detailed and thorough notes for students with differing disabilities. I have provided notes for chemistry, anatomy, child and family, kinesiology, and recreational therapy courses. I report to and follow the guidelines set by the Office of Student Disability Services.

I photographed kids and staff in various activities for 8 weeks, taking an average of 1,000 photos a day. I was in charge of shooting, editing, and posting high quality images to the social media accounts 3 to 5 times a day.

I answered and directed incoming office calls over a multi-line system. I greeted guests promptly and consistently set professional tone with friendly and helpful assistance. Other responsibilities included gathering supplies and setting up spaces to coordinate meetings and events, while periodically updating the social media profiles with current information.

I helped to organize activities, offer emotional support to campers, and implemented camp rules. I specifically taught running, hand lettering, crafts, and outdoor living skills to campers. I was responsible for creating and executing lesson plans and 24/7 care of 10 twelve year old girls.
