Editor of Business Excellence magazine (for the Victorian Chamber and Melbourne Chamber of Commerce) and Tourism Excellence magazine (for the Victoria Tourism Industry Council). I planned, commissioned, edited and wrote for these two quarterly magazines. Regular contributors include Victorian and federal politicians, CEOs and other senior individuals at leading companies, universities and other institutions, as well as senior executives and experts at the Victorian Chamber, MCC and VTIC. My role involved overseeing and planning the publications to tight deadlines, as well as researching potential content and contributors, sourcing, reviewing and editing copy. I worked closely with the Victorian Chamber’s policy, advocacy, communications, marketing and other internal teams/stakeholders, ensuring high editorial standards. Special themes for Business Excellence magazine in 2017 included 'Small Business and the Customer Experience', 'Energy' and 'Future Victoria'.

Features editor at The Peak Hong Kong, a monthly business and lifestyle magazine for a HNW/sophisticated audience, published under licence by the SCMP Group. The Peak regularly covers topics including business, property, the arts, travel, food and drink, and features monthly editorial themes - which have included including science and technology, entrepreneurship, architecture, philanthropy, conservation and education.I regularly commissioned and edited the work of talented writers and experts both locally and abroad. I also wrote interview-based profiles and multi-interview long-form features, working closely with sources, communications/PR contacts, photographers, graphic designers and other editors on our monthly magazine production. I left this position to relocate back to Melbourne.

In this role, I was the Head of Research for Asia Pacific and Editor at Asia Law & Practice, a division of Euromoney's Legal Media Group, leading a team of five researchers and writers, and working with sales and other colleagues. Legal Media Group publications incude IFLR1000, Asialaw Profiles and Asialaw Leading Lawyers. Asialaw Profiles features hundreds of leading domestic and regional law firms and lawyers specialising in a range of legal practice areas across 24 jurisdictions in the Asia Pacific. My APAC Research/Editing head role involved conducted and overseeing detailed research, reviewing extensive submissions, garnering client feedback and conducting interviews with senior lawyers across the region, before assessing, listing and describing recommended law firms and their highly regarded practice areas, and editing the work of researchers and writers in our team.

Covered significant financings via syndicated loan markets in South and Southeast Asia for Basis Point, specifically, India, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam. Deal-drivers include mergers and acquisitions, refinancings and capital expenditure. Maintained and expanded extensive banking contacts covering these regions. Wrote breaking news and features on deals and trends in various countries with regard to wider economic context and trends. Work included stories published on Basis Point/LoanConnector, IFR Asia and Reuters.
