• Led Conservation International’s (CI) overall climate policy engagement in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), UN International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and other international fora to promote the role of nature-based solutions in mitigating and adapting to climate change, with a focus on climate finance and carbon markets• Engaged with country representatives at all levels, including ministers, ambassadors, technical advisors and negotiators; serve as an advisor to country delegations during UN negotiations• Served as organizational technical expert on carbon markets, including Article 6 of the Paris Agreement, the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA), national carbon pricing policies and the voluntary carbon market• Engaged with national governments and CI country programs to influence national climate policies, including the incorporation of nature in nationally determined contributions (NDCs), formulation of REDD+ strategies and design of carbon pricing instruments to incentivize investments in natural climate solutions• Led internal, cross-divisional processes to formulate institutional climate policy priorities and positions• Led shared policy strategies, advocacy efforts and position development with NGO and industry partners• Supervised three direct reports and their deliverables; develop funding proposals; manage project budgets

• Researched and analyzed global green building policy and market trends to inform organizational advocacy and business strategies• Managed the content and technical development of a global green building policy database • Oversaw the development of 100 Green Building City Market Briefs, including managing content development and partner relationships with C40 cities, national Green Building Councils and local governments• Developed organizational strategy for international climate negotiations, including UNFCCC and Rio+20 • Supported the policy and communications efforts of the World Green Building Council; provided policy expertise and advice to green building councils around the world• Created and implemented the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Earth campaign, offering a refund of standard certification fees for the first LEED project certified in eligible countries
