I just graduated from the Master of Accountancy program in the Harbert College of Business at Auburn University with aspirations of a career in the audit segment of accounting.Being involved in many different organizations has taught me many skills that I believe would be beneficial to future employers, such as quick problem solving, communicating effectively with organization leaders and those within the organization, and excelling at both working in a group and on my own.Going away to college over 800 miles away from my hometown has taught me the importance of getting outside of my comfort zone. It has also taught me self confidence and how to be resourceful. I have built an intricate network of people here in Auburn after coming here knowing no one. Through this, I have secured many different positions in several organizations on and off campus. Being a people person is something I am known for and I thrive on meeting new people and solving problems with them. These are a few of the characteristics that my experiences at Auburn and in life have shaped that I believe show my ability to be an effective leader. When I am not doing school work, I enjoy hiking, camping, volunteering, and making new friends.
