"We tell ourselves stories in order to live." Joan Didion's sentiment on the importance of storytelling is one I have carried with me all of my life. By engaging with stories through mediums including books, we very naturally delve into their interpretation, enabling us to derive meaning that is in turn, applicable to our own lives. Passionate about literature, storytelling, and the transformative power of the arts, I am an individual who has nurtured a deep love for the written word and the art of storytelling through my degree in theatre. Upon graduating, I quickly discovered that at the heart of what I love about art and storytelling is the opportunity it gives people to recognize themselves and feel connected to the world at large. The unparalleled potency of reading lies in its ability to embed words, perspective, and personal growth right there in your mind, which is why I have found my path moving forward has shifted in that direction. I am now seeking new opportunities to integrate administrative expertise, leadership experience, and writing skills in a role that allows me to contribute to the creation, development, or promotion of captivating narratives.
