Contracted to help Yarra Valley Water to migrate from AS/NZS 4801 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, to the ISO standard 45001 and to review and revise the internal environmental and quality systems to ensure alignment between all three standards. The work involved development and delivery of awareness training modules to communicate the changes to stakeholders. The organisation was successfully recertified to AS/NZS 14001 and AS/NZS 9001 by the external certifying body in November 2020 and achieved migration to ISO 45001. In addition to reviewing and revising the procedures supporting the management systems, the work provided the opportunity to review all the operational risk management documents and to liaise with operational teams to review some specific risks associated with work in the field. For example, the risk of exposure to explosive gas atmospheres which resulted in development and delivery of an awareness training module for staff.
