I am a senior communications professional for a management consulting firm, with 25 years of strategic communications experience. I currently work as a government consultant in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. As a senior communications expert, I support the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Electronic Health Record Modernization initiative. I also consulted on communications efforts in support of the enterprise-wide implementation of high reliability organization principles, values and practices for the Veterans Health Administration, Central Office. In my work as a government consultant, I strive to exceed client and team expectations and to imbue my work with business transformation principles. As part of a collaborative team, I utilize project management practices and tools to meet tight deadlines and quick turns. Prior to Aptive Resources, I worked at the director level for multiple non-profit organizations and served as a member of a global, digital marketing agency. I have experience in event and project managment, having planned dozens of large-scale, high-end events and having overseen several, long-term projects from concept and planning to successful deployment. I have copywritten myriad communications products including magazine articles, brochures, direct mail pieces, blogs, website content, email marketing, sales funnels and annual reports. I have architected, designed and written copy for many websites. I serve as the volunteer webmaster, content creator and designer for The Justice for Jody Project. I am an NCEA-published author and have had my writing featured both in a book and magazine. Clear, efficient, compelling communication has been the cornerstone of my extensive career.
