In this position, the needs of guests and customers came first. This position involved highly effective time management and multi-tasking in a high-stress environment. Open and consistent lines of communication with multiple parties, including buyers, Real Estate Agents, mortgage lenders and fellow teammates were kept open. Part of my role was to process and routinely review sensitive documents and records pertinent to home closings such as title commitments, tax and HOA certificates, property surveys, legal and loan documents, payoff statements, and more. Furthermore, I attended events with sister companies to market the brand and develop business, as well as maintained strong relationships with Real Estate Agents, onsite sales agents and other business partners.

Overall, I managed the marketing efforts for the Rancho Sienna community in the Greater Austin Area. Among other responsibilities, I supported a differentiated community brand experience and ensured its delivery across various sectors, including on-site, online, and at various internal and external events and business functions. I managed the staff and customer experience at the community and carefully monitored how customers were interacted with both on-site and via nurturing campaigns. Further, I worked with external agencies and Newland's in-house marketing team to execute integrated marketing campaigns that included strategic media placements, coordinated promotions, and PR outreach. Other tasks included utilizing tracking tools to evaluate marketing efforts and make recommendations for adjustments, managing and monitoring budgets, and coordinating and planning community-based events, photo and video shoots.

In this role, I supported the development and implementation of strategic marketing and advertising plans, contributed to weekly conference calls and brainstorming sessions with the local marketing team and ad agency, assisted with consumer and realtor outreach, and maintained files on promotions and giveaways. I further helped update the community websites, as well as head social media outreach for all communities. In addition, I represented Newland Austin at various events and professional functions around the area, as well as helped coordinate community-based events while working under a budget and with multiple vendors.

This position entailed building relationships with a multitude of customers and assisting with their finances. I established new small business and personal accounts and also utilized the bank's partnerships to refer customers to financial advisors, small business specialists and mortgage loan officers. This position was very much goal-driven. During the first quarter of reporting, I exceeded in over 150% goals achieved and ranked second in an area of over 500 bankers. During my last year, I was awarded top 10% performer within the region and ranked 6th out of 300 bankers in performance metrics.

My job was to refer financial products and services to customers, as well as provide quality service as a customer service representative for Bank of America. Throughout the eight months I served in this position, I exceeded daily, weekly, and monthly referral goals with an average of over 200% of goals achieved, as well as consistently ranked in the top 10% in the Austin/San Antonio market area. I was recognized and awarded for being one of the top performing tellers in the market area during my last quarter in this position and was promoted to personal banker thereafter.

As an intern for KBTX during my last semester at Texas A&M, I was exposed to an outlet of the media world. Under guidance from the production as well as creative services directors for KBTX, many of the tasks I dealt with included assisting in live news production, uploading local and national news stories, organizing and archiving files for the commercial editors, etc. Some of the projects I enjoyed during my time as an intern included creating Photoshop templates for use in live news broadcasts, as well as researching and compiling credible sources online for use in a final internship research paper and presentation at Texas A&M University.

This experience was by far my favorite internship. Among other projects, much of what I accomplished while working for this paper included corresponding creative, promotional and advertising ideas with the editors, generating stories for various events, organizing and updating an event calendar on the official website, blogging, as well as utilizing social media outlets like Facebook for promotional efforts. I sincerely enjoyed attending the local events, some of which I wrote about, to further positively promote the newspaper. This internship exposed me to the marketing/advertising side of business, which I have found sincerely enjoyable.
