About Maggie Rivera

I am the head of Corporate Social Responsibility and Inclusion at Stearns Bank, where I lead the Community Development Banking, our inclusive growth strategy, DEI and Customer Experience. In my role I focus on increasing access to banking services and capital to underserved markets, supporting the growth of women and minority-owned businesses, implementing creative and more effective delivery of banking services and financing options to emerging entrepreneurs, and expanding Stearns Bank’s diverse networks and partnerships that expand our reach and impact in increasing access to banking services and funding opportunities for underserved entrepreneurs. My mission is to be a voice for the underrepresented and to unite and inspire communities. I am a public speaker and a contributing author of Hispanic Star Rising Volume II, where I share my story and insights as a Hispanic leader in the corporate world. I have been recognized by several prestigious awards and honors, such as the HACR Young Hispanic Corporate Achiever, the Cleveland Crain's 40 under 40, the YWCA Woman of Achievement, and the 100 Latino that Cleveland must know. I am also passionate about serving on the boards of several non-profit organizations that support economic development, entrepreneurship, and education. I am fluent in English and Spanish and have skills in employee resource groups, retirement, and customer relationship management.
