Working here alongside my final year studies to help fund University. My responsibilities include serving guests, helping with set up and making sure weddings run smoothly.

I completed an Industrial Placement here as part of my degree. My role was primarily project based, working as part of the technical & laboratory teams. The projects I was working on were in-line with the implementation of strategy within the business. My responsibilities within these included:- Completing BS ISO laboratory tests [colour fastness, wash stability, physical properties].- Testing new equipment which would help streamline processes. These included the SDL Atlas Quickwash and PermaShrink® Yieldmax System.- Working directly with process operators and gaining a practical understanding of the textile production process.- Training process operators and department supervisors in the operation of the Quickwash once it was approved for use in production.- Collecting and analysing data to assess the suitability of the new equipment for Carrington.- Presenting the data collected plus any project developments to the Operations Director and Senior Management in regular project meetings.

I worked at Joules during my two years at College. A huge part of my role here was communicating with customers to offer them a unique in-store environment. I also assisted in dressing mannequins, creating window displays and the general visual merchandising of the store. Because it was a smaller store I was left alone, in charge of the shop floor on numerous occasions during quieter times.
