The Gävle-Dala branch consists of Gästrikland, Hälsingland and Dalarna. In my role as Branch Manager, I have the ultimate responsibility for Securitas business in my branch. That includes, for example, personnel responsibilities (approximately 500 collective employees and about 15 officials), finances (budget, development, and results), operations (making sure our operations are conducted with high quality and in accordance with agreements).

I was responsible for the management of personnel, as well as Securitas' relationship with the customer. My working days consisted of keeping order, patrolling, call-outs (assault alarms), reporting, etcetera.

Because my employer thought I was doing well, I was placed on a night shift district that included alarm call-outs in Norduppland. I learned all the different shifts in Gästrikland and helped out on the on-call shift (group leader) from time to time. The tasks consisted mainly of alarm call-outs and night-time patrols.
