As Project Manager and IT Instructor at FAIR, I spearheaded the implementation of a NORAD-supported project in Tanjungpinang, Indonesia, focused on bridging the digital divide through technology and education initiatives.Responsibilities:- Led the setup of computer labs in 12 grade schools using recycled equipment from Norwegian organizations, employing FAIR's development aid approach.- Conducted a 2-month training course for local teachers, empowering them to utilize Ubuntu, OpenOffice, and other open-source software in English, with live translation to Bahasa Indonesia.- Acted as the primary liaison between FAIR and local authorities, fostering collaboration and ensuring project success.Achievements:- Successfully established computer labs in underserved schools, providing access to technology and enhancing educational opportunities for students.- Equipped local teachers with essential IT skills, enabling them to effectively integrate open-source software into their curriculum and empower their students.- Facilitated effective communication and collaboration between FAIR and local authorities, ensuring smooth project implementation and community engagement.
