Strategic Product Manager within Business Unit Multimedia

The performance team’s task was to ensure that products performed as expected by customers in terms of performance and scalability.Duties:• Responsible for the HW architecture.• Responsible for the construction and operation of a performance lab. This responsibility included installation, configuration, optimization and operation of all blocks included in the solution (from an empty cabinet to a complete system). This included cabling, networking HW (switching, routing, firewalls and load balancers), server HW, test clients and storage.• Responsible for installation and optimization of operating systems for maximum performance• Responsible for installation and optimization of databases in a large-scale distributed environment with high availability for maximum performance• Responsible for development and operation of an intranet page which presented test results dynamically. The page was written in ASP.NET and C #• Did sales support in front of customers when deeper knowledge about the platform, especially performance and scalability, was needed• Responsible from Microsoft's side in a large scalability test conducted in collaboration with EMC and UNISYS.

• Responsible for the installation part in a number of projects. This involved the planning and execution of installation and documentation of the installed system.• Responsible for HW and SW upgrades in a number of projects. This included the creation of migration and rollback plans, including database upgrades.• HW and SW installation on the premises of the customer.• Integration of the customer's existing systems. Eg SMS-Cs, billing systems, RAS servers and the Internet.• Acted technical sales support when deeper knowledge of the platform was needed

Built a complete network of WindowsNT servers, Windows95 clients and other equipment.Responsible for purchasing, administration, support, service, computers and printers.
