Bloom (formerly Profectus) is a not-for-profit that helps young entrepreneurs get their ideas into action by providing them with the education, resources and contacts they need to launch. The most recent project is the BloomLab (formerly the Innovation Hub), a free co-working space for young entrepreneurs with facilities to support up to 40 entrepreneurs and with more than 40 workshops and events per semester focusing on developing entrepreneurial skills and a supportive young start-up community.Founded the BloomLab at St Catherines and worked with sponsorship, marketing and operations. Was contracted as an external consultant by the start-up brewery Pirate Life Brewing in March 2014 to build a financial model to aid in seeking VC funding and developing a business plan. As a result, the brewery managed to raise in excess of $1 million, with additional follow-on rounds of funding raised.
