Leveraging my extensive professional experience, I was in charge of supporting and enhancing our trading team's server environments on a global scale. My job was to troubleshoot and monitor technical issues while also configuring server features in the form of kernel parameters and maximizing file system expansions. I also verified an end-to-end system set up by conducting FPGA image installations, configurations, and basic debugging.

As an HPC Linux System Administrator, I was responsible for installing and continuously improving Intel Haswell and HA POWER8 HPC clusters within bleeding-edge IBM hardware. I also managed the implementation of pioneering supercomputer test clusters for pre-sales while also fully automating switching from one OS/software stack to another between clients.Key Contributions:• Built xCAT postscript modular automation tool suites to manage HPC stack for projects with version control that enabled master postscript to spawn off defined applications and versions in defined order which automated repeatable builds and configurations.• Guided implementation of HA virtualized redundant Flex-based license server environment; set up fully dynamic web server that showcased live status, utilization, and license expiration for various vendors.• Achieved 100% homogeneous cluster by deploying RPM-managed firmware that delivered automation scripts allowing rollout of new bundled firmware and identified replaced system board for automated flash and UEFI settings.• Improved standardization and facilitated repeatable and automated configurations of system deployments by bundling custom system configurations into RPMs.• Enhanced efficiency and ensured security compliance by leading implementation of patch management server for Red Hat Enterprise Linux cross-platform builds; enabled automatized dependency resolution.

Earlier in my career, I installed Linux and Windows HPC cloud solutions on freshly acquired IBM hardware at client locations for IBM Lab Services System. My role was to develop TSAM workflow scripts for a LVM disk resize which enabled our clients to transition to larger disk space from a self-service portal. I also maintained cybersecurity by establishing complex layered networks using multiple VLANs and firewalls.Key Contributions:• Managed installation for post-sales supercomputing clusters at Bombardier; coordinated with five-person team to rack, stack, and install 100 4U servers in three days for SAP Sapphire conference live demo.

Responsible for developing new solutions for Deep Computing Capacity on Demand (DCCoD) customers world wide. Supporting external accounts for off-site deep computing power used by major financial, health care, and automotive companies.

Administered engineering staff software application tools suites.* Planned, designed, and installed a redundant UNIX server environment to ensure high availability by setting-up 3 Sun Netra T1 with NIS master and slaves, printer, NTP, installation, and license services; 1 SunFire 280R backup server; 1 SunEDGE L20 DLT tape library; 1 NetApp F820 NAS filer; and a redundant, modular UPS. * Merged UNIX and Windows file servers by setting up a NetApp NAS file server to share data cross-platform by utilizing NFS and CIFS. * Setup and documented a disaster recovery solution to ensure minimal data loss by duplicating data to be stored off-site.* Improved daily tape backup efficiency to preserve network performance by utilizing NDMP protocol over LVD SCSI interface.
