Nordic Visitor is a fast growing travel agency focusing on the Nordic countries. During my time at Nordic Visitor I have had the chance on working on very diverse projects. In the first year my work was very much focused on accounting related tasks. These tasks included booking invoices, balancing accounts and other related tasks within Microsoft Dynamics NAV system. Lately I have been working on updating information within our booking operation system, price calculation methods and other more finance related tasks.

Stofan Café is a small but well established coffee shop in downtown Reykjavík. During my time at Stofan I worked on many interesting projects. I began working as a Barista but soon moved on to handle the bookkeeping for the café. Later on I implemented a time and attendance system, created an inventory system and analysed the operating expenses and took some cost cutting measures. I stopped working there when Stofan was sold to new owners in December 2016.

Kjöt og Fiskur is a young and small grocery store in downtown Reykjavík that focuses on selling quality meat and fresh fish. I was among the first employees that was hired and my experience from Nóatún Supermarket helped in setting high standards regarding quality personalised service. I had to quit working there because I simply did not have enough time after I started working for Nordic Visitor.

In my 5 years at Nóatún I worked in various positions. I started off working in the meat section were my main roles were selling and provide cooking advice on meat and fish. Later on I filled in as a cook, shift manager and in my final year I filled in for the Store manager. During that time I was responsible for ordering goods, creating shift plans and other related projects. In my last summer I was asked to spend some weekends filling in for store managers in other stores within the same company.
