Business Area: Telecommunication I worked as a technical lead for a major telephone service provider. I successfully implemented B2E e-commerce web site by integrating and customizing third party software called Trilogy. My responsibilities included production support, requirement gathering for the new enhancement and coordinating the different development efforts. Also developed Order Management System (OMS) to process and fulfill orders generated by on-line customers. Architecture and support software was provided by Trilogy. The whole architecture was object oriented. The Presentation controls were written with JSP and JAVA Beans. Object oriented database was used. CORBA was the middle layer between the presentation controls and the database. On line order were also archived in a data warehouse. XML was used to communicate order related data between the different CORBA services. This was a multithreaded architecture using the latest tools and technologies. Business Area: Telecommunication, US West Did analysis, design, and development of an automated telephone services provisioning system for a major US telephone service provider. I was responsible for developing PCS (Personal communication services) and LNP (Local number portability) provisioning system on network elements like 5E, DMS100, 1A, OMP etc. This application was multithreaded using Sybase open client and open server based on a vendor package (ASAP) provided by Architel System Corporation. MQ Series was used as the middleware. I got experience with MQ series administration. This project was based on offshore model and I was responsible for the coordinating efforts between client and offshore team in India. Technologies used: C/C++, Sybase database, SQL. Business Area: Telecommunication, US West With the same client, I also designed and developed an application based on Java technology. Java applet worked as a client that connected to a Sybase open server on UNIX boxes. It had a nice user interface with multithreaded architecture. The application enabled the repair center to work simultaneously, extract the required service order from the database, modify it and then resubmit.
