As an Aegis Fire Controlman at the US Navy for over 10 years, I have developed and maintained the Aegis Computer Network, a complex system that integrates weapons, sensors, and command and control functions. I have also served as a Combat Systems Coordinator, directing the tactical employment of the Aegis system during various missions and scenarios, and as a Combat Systems Officer of the Watch, overseeing the operation and readiness of all Combat Systems and their components.My role required me to have a strong background in cybersecurity, which I have acquired through my bachelor's degree in cybersecurity from Old Dominion University. My certification as an instructor and trainer for the Surface Combat Systems Training Center has broaden my leadership capabilities. I have extensive experience in working with Red Hat Linux and Cisco OS, as well as applying risk management and information security principles and practices to ensure the protection and integrity of the Aegis Computing Infrastructure and its data. I am passionate about enhancing the security, capabilities and performance of networked systems and contributing to the national security and defense of the United States.
