Benchling Normalization Project: Lab automation that fetches experiment data from Benchling (electronic lab notebook) API, replacing manual plate normalization.• Optimized API calls, lowering data load time from over a minute to under 30 seconds • Simplified main triple loop by splitting work into a single loop, functions and memoizationClinical Data Analysis Tool: Leverages Python’s data science libraries to gain insight into clinical data. • Led the process of development, including planning, communication, research, tool selection and software implementation• Used ngram counts to generate topics and displayed topics by percentage in a piechart• Refactored code into functions to allow the user to rerun the program on filtered subsections of the dataset

As a SEED Outreach Intern, I contacted organizations that serve individuals likely to experience discrimination to schedule presentations on discrimination in housing, employment and public places. I prepared materials, conducted MCAD presentations and managed the outreach data tracking. This internship had little to no supervision after the initial training.
