Working through a full product development and management lifecycle, this job involved research, building business cases and cash flow forecasts, prototyping, pricing, and documentation.More recently I have been streamlining and automating NTTE’s internal procedures for project initiation, resourcing, and team collaboration by customising Infopath templates in combination with Window Sharepoint services, and Microsoft Project 2003 server.Documentation has also formed a significant part of my workload throughout the various phases of this contract.

Project Manager

Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation is the world’s largest Telecommunications company. In early 2004, their European subsidiary, NTT Europe, won a tender to provide outsourced desktop and server support for the Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi. The delivery of this project was at risk of failing, and was already several months overdue. I was brought in to take over management of the project due to my experience in both project management and hands on technical expertise in outsourced IT management. My key remit was to get the project back on schedule, and to that end I introduced a structured project management approach (Prince 2), and service delivery best practices based on the ITIL standard. The successful introduction of controls and transparency resulted in this project being brought back onto schedule and budget.
