Full-stack Software Engineer in International Product team, working with a wide range of services (back-end, front-end, GraphQL) and technologies (Scala, Typescript, React, Kafka, Thrift, GCP, ...) to provide the best customer experience and help members with their personal finance.

Investment Management Technology (Data Platform): ElasticSearch, Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, Java/Scala- Working with massively concurrent systems with distributed data processing (Java/Scala)- Implementing complex data integration and processing pipelines- Complex event processing to import, transform, enrich, link and persist pieces of data from different sources coming at different times

• Worked as a member of data-platform team with Apache Hadoop, Hive, Oozie, Ambari and ElasticSearch.• Implemented custom Oozie workflows to cleanse, normalize, aggregate and process 0.5 billion records per hour and store in Hive. • Implemented and deployed a RESTful API (Python Flask + uWSGI) for ElasticSearch on a Kubernetes cluster on Google Cloud to handle search and reporting queries in publishers’ data (clicks, page impressions, link impressions and commissions).• Developed a custom SerDe (Serializer/Deserializer) for Apache Hive to process custom JSON input files.

• Migrated and refactored the legacy Apache CouchDB based financial data system (for Interest Rate, Volatility Surface, Spot, …) to a new storage model (Redis with distributed replication across all servers + replicated PostgreSQL). Achieved higher performance and lowered maintenance cost, without interrupting the 1.2M daily transactions. Documented and moved the system outside the internal codebase under an open source license (Quant::Framework).• Refactored and back-tested option pricing engines serving 1M daily transactions (Vanna-Volga, Intraday Forex and extremely short-term option contracts) and migrated the Vanna-Volga pricing engine into a separate Perl module.• Developed code for real-time financial data processing from different providers (Bloomberg, ICE, SIX iD and SuperDerivatives).
