To this end RESCCUE aims at supporting adaptation to climate change through integrated island management, resorting especially to economic analysis and economic and financial mechanisms.Alongside this overall objective at the regional level, RESCCUE has specific objectives at pilot sites level:- Develop integrated coastal management planning practice and pilot implementation;- Strengthen the use of economic analysis for integrated coastal management;- Ensure economic and financial sustainability of integrated coastal management;- Facilitate learning, dissemination and replication of experiences gained from pilot sites.In French Polynesia, two pilot sites (Mangareva-Gambier and Opunohu-Moorea) have been selected by the government of French Polynesia.
