After completing my undergraduate and PhD in the field of Telecommunications, I was delighted to work with Liquid Business Solutions. Here, I gained practical and hands-on experience in the deployment, configuration, testing and troubleshooting of VoIP networks. From there, the time I spent in Bahrain was very fruitful as I had an opportunity to deliver professional training courses on VoIP communications and networking topics. This helped me realise my passion for Education and launched me on a journey towards professional qualifications in Education. While back in the UK, I worked in colleges to gain experience on the challenges associated with academia and went on to qualify with a GraduateTeacher Program certification. Since I moved to Dubai in 2014, I have been engaged as a faculty at RIT Dubai, teaching courses in Mathematics (Probability and Statistics, Calculus etc). I am currently an Assistant Professor at Heriot Watt University teaching courses to Statistical Data Science and Actuarial Science students. My research interests include: applying machine learning techniques for educational data mining. Some of my recent publications have been listed below.
