• At this law firm, I was originally hired to be a legal assistant to perform duties including, but not limited to, drafting legal correspondences and motions. However, during the course of my employment, I slowly strayed away from legal work and back to more IT related duties. The duties included maintaining a network that two Catalyst 2950 switches, two Cisco 2600 Routers and two access points. I would maintain and troubleshoot the switches and routers for any issues that arose within the network. I assisted in the configurations of HSRP on both routers to establish redundancy in case of a device failure. A few VLAN's were set up to group the attorneys together based on their primary field of work, i.e. real estate law or personal injury law. However, they were primarily assigned for internal services and segmenting the network for guest use.
