I was responsible for the vision of software products development for UNODC to be used by the 198 governments worldwide in the area of fighting drugs and crime. This includes managing the software development cycle from inception, planning, development, quality assurance, packaging, marketing, and delivering software solutions to the governments of 198 Member States. The software solutions are in the areas of drug control and crime prevention that covers anti-money laundering, criminal intelligence, counter- terrorism, anti-corruption, and asset recovery.Key Achievements:Managing the development and deployment of the National Drug Control Systems, winner of the United Nations 21st Century Award for Innovation. — Designed & implemented an intellectual property protection system for a sister company Abu Ghazaleh for Intellectual Property Protection. The system had the ability to track the registration process of registering trademarks, designs, and patents. In addition, the system integrated an optical archiving functionality that integrated with the workflow system. — Handled and supervised several consultancy engagements in the fields of information security, Y2K compliance, integrated financial auditing, and integrated management information systems.

Key Contributions:— Designed and implemented a Multimedia CD-Title called Comedy World, which is currently available in the market. — Designed a Micro Controller Arabic System that works as an Electronic Quran document with search and indexes capabilities. The system has been manufactured by CEW and is available in the market.

Key Contributions:— Designed and supervised the implementation of the national border control system in co-operation with the Palestinian Ministry of Interior using Oracle Developer 2000. — Designed and supervised the implementation of The Population Registry Data Bank, in co-operation with the Palestinian Ministry of Interior using Oracle Developer 2000— Designed and supervised the Implementation of Fund Control & Monitoring System for the Palestinian Ministry of Finance using Oracle Developer 2000. — Designed and supervised the implementation of a GIS - Security - Zone Checker for the Palestinian High Board of National Security using ArcView and Designer 2000.

Key Contributions:— Design and implementation of a cotton plant model. — Design of an insect model (Pink Bollworm) — Design of an agricultural environment model that incorporates weather data, irrigation data, and fertilization data — Design of an insect control model that implements the usage of insecticides and pheromones as insect-control methodologies. — Implementation of the above systems using MS-Fortran, Borland Pascal, and Assembly. — Technical support for the implementation of the simulation model in 2 governates, namely: El-Fayoum and Bin-Souef in corporation with the Egyptian ministry of agriculture covering an area over 580,000 feddans.
