In my capacity as Investment Management Lead Officer, I lead the origination and execution of business opportunities in the Brazilian Agribusiness Value Chain for the IDB Invest, the private sector division of the Inter-American Development Bank Group.My professional background embraces more than 28 years of experience in the financial market, out of which about 6 years at IDB Invest and over 13 years in Rabobank Group performing key senior executive and management roles, responsible for a multitude of relevant and strategic commercial initiatives and financial transactions. I served as Statutory Executive Director at Banco De Lage Landen Brasil S.A., a Rabobank Group member bank, playing the roles of Chief Risk Officer South America and Head of Asset Management. I was also in charge of coordinating the teams engaged at developing local and cross border structured finance transactions, among other important initiatives involving treasury activities, fundraising, debt restructuring, collections and recovery, legal and operations.In my previous position at Banco Rabobank International Brasil S.A., Maher served as Senior Executive Manager Leader of the Corporate & Structured Finance Department. Responsible for coordinating the efforts endeavored by several in-house and third-parties staffs (e.g., lawyers, credit analysts, Middle-Office/Operations, Relationship Managers, and treasury people) with the ultimate goal of restructuring the key local distressed assets on behalf of Rabobank Group. The negotiation of debt restructuring conditions locally or abroad along with (i) corporate debtors, (ii) financial advisors, (ii) other creditors, bilaterally or in forums as bank meetings, and (iv) potential buyers when the solution involves M&A, were among my main duties.

Main responsibilities embrace: √ the structuring of trade and non-trade related complex transactions in the Food & Agree and non-F&A sectors; √ lead and coordinate local and off-shore syndicated loans and club-deals; √ tax wise LT-funding raising & renewal along with Multilateral Development Banks-MDBs abroad; the structuring and raising of offshore LT funding, meeting BACEN’s sub-debt related rules; √ syndication/distribution of assets to both capital and debt markets; √ structuring of securitization vehicles like Receivables Fund and Suppliers Fund; √ coordinate (i) auditing companies, (ii) rating agencies, (iii) custodians, (iv) asset managers, (iv) credit people, (v) in-house legal, (vi) external lawyers, (vii) operations/middle office, and (viii) treasury and sales desk teams local and off-shore whenever needed; √ sales pitch and negotiation of terms and conditions along with clients and prospects on and off-shore; √ multi-staff coordination; √ foster global relationship along with other Financial Institutions/counterparty banks; √ Handling of Country Limit and Political Insurance related issues on behalf of Rabobank International Brasil along with the head-office in Holland and international insurance market, being also long experienced in negotiating and raising funding along with Multi-Lateral Development Banks ( MDBs ); √ Responsible for leading the structuring of the Receivables Funds (FIDCs), also coordinating the book-building process, road-shows and distribution process in the domestic capital market whenever applicable.
