The job requires me to have an in-depth understanding of the top news stories of the day. As a senior visual designer and over 13 years of experience in media field, I am expected to present the news in an easily digestible format through use of smart design and graphic execution techniques in both news pages and feature pages. This has to be done within very tight deadlines while keeping the readers’ expectations in mind. The job involves frequent interaction with the editorial team. I finally schedule the page for processing. I am also responsible for overseeing the print production results.
