I founded 'Eco-Diplomacy and Strategies'​ (EDS) to offer consultancy, advisory services to the various economic stakeholders. We also undertake publication of articles and books etc concerning economic and geopolitical issues. . In September 2014, the EDS published my book 'Nigeria: An Economic Manual'​. It has been well received with the entire print order being sold out. It has been praised for being a unique stand alone reference resource-book on Africa's largest economy with a narrative which is both objective and balanced. In September 2016, I published my second book titled "UAE: A Business Manual". The UAE is second largest economy of the Arab world with remarkable level of diversity and dynamism. My book is unique, objectively written and comprehensive resource-book for professionals, traders and investors interested in leveraging that country.

UAE - India Business Council (UIBC) in India was launched on September 3 2015 in New Delhi by the Foreign Ministers of India and the UAE. I was its founder President. To quote from my address at its launch, the UIBC is intended to act as both as a catalyst as well as an agony aunt if needed, in process of bring the two economies together. The UBC's membership have a collective turnover or asset-base of over 100 billion dollars.The UAE is India's third laegest trading partner with annual volume of over 50 billion dollars in 2015. There are major UAE investments in India totaling around 9 billion dollars. There are nearly one thousand commercial flights every week between the two countries. During the Indian Prime Minister's visit to the UAE in August 2015, the two sides agreed to target $ 75 billion UAE investment in India and 60% growth in trade during next five years.

I was appointed at a Consultant to the JMI University to assist the faculty and the students (most of them researchers) to be in touch with contemporary developments and personalities. This was to be done by leveraging my first rate knowledge of Arabic language and over 35 years of direct experience with the Middle East and North Africa.JMI is a prestigious federal university located in Indian capital which was founded in 1920. It has over 16,000 students. West Asia department, created a decade ago, is relatively small with 45 students and 6 faculty members. Adjoining it is also Indo - Arab Cultural Centre which has its own sphere of activities.

Abuja

For over five years in Abuja, I managed India's rapidly expanding relations with these four countries with special emphasis on economic and commercial ties. The period saw India emerge as the largest trading partner of Nigeria and Benin Republic. The number of Indian companies with footprints in Nigeria grew to over a hundred. Nigerians going to India grew four fold during this period, spurred by medical tourism, business and education..

For slightly over three years that I was in Oslo, I was responsible for India's relations with Norway and Iceland. This period witness comprehensive surge in India's ties with these two countries. For instance, Norway's Oil-Fund, then world's largest, began investing in India.

My 32 month tenure in Algeria was a tough but productive tenure that led to revival of substantive bilateral ties, I recall the Presidential State visit to India, introduction of Maruti-Suzuki cars from India and entry of Indian pharmaceuticals as my major feats during this assignment.
