I am a values-based leader with 20 years’ worth of experience in data and analytics leadership and delivery. With growth mindset and openness to experience challenges, I have maximised value of the IT investments by successfully leading teams to deliver large programs of work and sometimes stopping projects if they are not forecasted to achieve the value they originally promised. As a servant leader, I have created high performing teams by effectively engaging, motivating and developing people. As a senior member of the Data and Analytics leadership team, I have built Big Data Engineering team, established data roadmap and executed three initial business use cases to prove the capability and quantifiable business value of Westpac’s first Data Driven Experiences platform (initially on IBM Private Hybrid cloud and later Azure VPC). I was able to negotiate rate reductions with our resourcing partners by predicting demand and tracking the allocation of supply, resulting in significant saving for the business. I invested substantial amount of time and energy to role model behaviours that are appropriate in an agile culture resulting in effective execution, innovation and outstanding performance of teams across the domain.
