I am Mahfuz Ahmed, a social work graduate, social researcher, and social advocate dedicated to advancing human rights, gender equity, and public health through rigorous academic inquiry and community-based initiatives. My research interests include Gender-based Violence, Human Rights, Family and Child Welfare, and Public Health. With years of diverse experience in research, training, and social action, I have developed a foundation in both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, as well as in community mobilization and counseling.I have contributed to impactful research projects focused on gender-based violence, psychophysical health, and couple conflict. I have published a paper on sexual harassment experiences in The Malaysian Journal of Social Administration. Additionally, I am an active member of the Social Psychology Network and hold certifications in social justice, global health, and research methods from prestigious institutions like Harvard, Stanford, and the University of Michigan.Driven by my commitment to meaningful change, I aim to pursue advanced studies in Social Work, Sociology, and Women’s and Gender Studies, focusing on how gendered experiences intersect with social and economic policies. I am particularly inspired to bridge academic research with real-world impact, creating inclusive, equitable policies that support underrepresented communities.
